An app has appeared in the Google Play Store that turns your smartwatch into a Pokémon GO Plus. The app makes your smartwatch light up when a Pokémon is nearby. You still need to use your phone to catch the Pokémon.
While we wait for the Pokémon GO Plus bracelet, which should be released at the end of August, you can now get started with an app for Android that will turn your smartwatch into a kind of Pokémon GO Plus. When a Pokémon is nearby, you will receive a notification on your smart watch. There is also an option to open a map where you can see which Pokémon are in the area and how long it will take before they despawn.
The app uses unofficial Pokémon GO code. You may be banned from using it and use is at your own risk. The app creator recommends logging into the app with a second account and using your regular account for Pokémon GO. The app is only available on Android and you can download it here. An iOS version should be released very soon.
