How the Pokémon Go Fifth Anniversary Collection Challenge works

Collection challenges in Pokémon Go, which were first released in January 2021, run alongside some in-game events. Each Collection Challenge requires you to find a specific number of Pokémon by various means.

After completing the Collection Challenge by acquiring all the necessary Pokémon, you will be rewarded with a range of items and progress towards your Elite Collector Medal.

The Fifth Anniversary Collection Challenge, along with the Fifth Anniversary event, goes from Tuesday, July 6th at 10:00 am (local time), Thursday, July 15th at 8:00 pm (local time) .

Collection Challenges can be found in the ‘Today View’, which can be accessed by pressing the field search button (the little binoculars) in the lower right corner of the screen.

Once you’ve accessed ‘Today View’, you’ll find the list of Pokémon you’ll need to complete the Collection Challenge. Once you find one of the Pokémon, it will be marked in the Collection Challenge list, so you won’t have to memorize which ones you have and which ones you’re still missing.

Remember: the Collection Challenge must be completed before the associated event ends and disappears forever.

Enjoy the fifth anniversary of Pokémon Go!
