Field Research Tasks and Everything You Need to Know About Celebrating New Pokémon Snap in Pokémon Go

During the New Pokémon Snap Celebration in Pokémon Go, you can collect a series of Field Investigations exclusive to the event by spinning PokéStops. These tasks can be saved and completed after the event is over, but can only be found and added to the list before the event ends.

Here are the New Pokémon Snap Celebration Event Special Research Tasks and their rewards:

In addition to the field research tasks and the New Pokémon Snap Celebration event mission, one of the new features is the arrival of Shiny or Shiny Smeargle. Take a Snapshot of a creature in your collection and there is a chance that Smeargle will appear in the image. In that case, it will appear in the wild for you to capture.

As part of the event, Smeargle will appear up to 15 times a day. The event lasts 4 days, so you have 60 chances to get a shiny or variocolor, which is not a guarantee at all. If you don’t get a shiny Smeargle, the opportunity will reappear in future events.

These Pokémon will appear more often during the event:

  • Aipom
  • Audino
  • Cacnea
  • Chinchou
  • Dodrio
  • Ducklett
  • Finneon
  • Geodude
  • Hoothoot
  • Lotad
  • Mantini
  • Metapod
  • Sandshrew
  • Scamory
  • Trapinch

Lastly, as always, new Pokémon will appear in Raids, including Landorus, Thundurus, and Tornadus in five-star raids.

April has arrived in Pokémon Go and the Season of Legends continues! Here we have the new Field Research, Community Day; the classic Hours of Featured Pokémon and the start of Season 7 of the Go Fighting League. Also, the monthly Team Go Rocket missions are back with How Higher Do They Fly ?? that will allow you to obtain ‘Strange’ Red Eggs. The Gen 6 Pokémon from the Kalos region (X and Y) have arrived and the maximum level cap has been increased to 50, so we recommend methods of quickly increasing XP.
