Field Research Tasks and Everything You Need to Know About the Team Go Rocket Celebration in Pokémon Go

During the Team Go Rocket Celebration in Pokémon Go, you can get Field Research missions by turning PokéStops. Although these tasks can only be achieved during the event, once you have them they can be saved and completed after the event.

Here are the exclusive Field Research Tasks for the Team Go Rocket Celebration event:

  • Catch 7 Poison-type Pokémon: reward – encounter with Gligar
  • Purify 3 Dark Pokémon: reward – encounter with Misdreavus
  • Defeat 2 Team Go Rocket Recruits: reward – encounter with Nidoran (female) or Nidoran (male)
  • Catch 15 Dark-type Pokémon: reward – encounter with Umbreon

The other great bonus of this event is that any Eggs placed in an Incubator during the event will cut the distance in half, so this is the perfect opportunity to get rid of the longer ones.

There are also several Team Go Rocket bonuses, and Team Go Rocket Leaders also have new teams of Pokémon, with the introduction of new Dark Pokémon.

Date and times of the Team Go Rocket Celebration in Pokémon Go

As the name suggests, the Team Go Rocket Celebration event focuses on defeating the team of thugs that turns Pokémon into Shadow Pokémon.

Both Team Go Rocket’s Celebration research and Field Research will only be available during this event, which starts on Tuesday, February 2 at 10 am (local time) and ends on Sunday, February 7 at 8pm (local time).

The Team Go Rocket Celebration event research has two steps, with rewards for each individual challenge and for completing each step. If you want to get all the rewards, you will have to complete the Team Go Rocket Celebration research mission before the event ends or you will risk losing the rewards when the research period ends.
