Pokémon is one of the most lucrative entertainment franchises in history, thanks in large part to vast collections of accessories based on the little monsters. The next novelty appears to be a line of sneakers produced by Adidas.

The line has not yet been confirmed by Adidas or the Pokémon Company, but leaked images show sneakers based on Pikachu and Squirtle. Both are primarily white, with yellow or blue accents, an embroidered figure of the Pokémon in question, and illustrations around the outer surface of the shoe.
@LukePlunkett Here is the Squirtle one. Not my picture, but from the site a while back I saw a post about it a month or two ago. pic.twitter.com/rKvmZ2dyTx

Of course, there should also be sneakers based on Charmander and Bulbasaur, and possibly other Pokémon as well. As the line has not yet been officially announced, there is still no information on price and availability date.
Recently, a line of Pokémon-based sneakers was also announced by Fila, but only for South Korea.
A worldwide success since 1996, Pokémon has been at a new height of popularity since the launch of Pokémon GO in 2016. This year, the series receives its first Hollywood film with Detective Pikachu and the eighth generation of the games debuts on the Switch with Pokémon Sword and Shield .
