According to reports from SuperData, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold the beauty of 5 million copies digitally on the eShop. This figure brings the game ahead of the record of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 of 2015.

Most likely, the current situation that sees players forced home by the emergency Coronavirus (COVID-19) affected sales, but we must not forget that the specialized press agreed that the last chapter of the series is a great game.

According to SuperData estimates, Animal Crossing: New Horizons sold 5 million units digitally at launch worldwide, making it the biggest digital launch in console history, beating previous record holder Call of Duty: Black Ops III.
