There’s a new sign of life from Aquanox: Deep Descent, the newest installment in the underwater shooter. And at the same time a release date!
You don’t have to wait long, because not quite 19 years after the first Aquanox was released in November 2001, Deep Descent comes onto the market: on October 16, 2020 it will be released for the PC.
In the title developed by Digital Arrow, the world no longer exists as we know it. It is flooded and the remnants of mankind live in habitats below the surface of the sea.
“But mankind has apparently learned nothing, because the various factions are still waging bitter wars against one another,” it says. The player commands a group of four pilots who try to fight their way through the ruthless and war-ravaged world, facing all the dangers that lurk in the depths of the sea. “
You can experience the story of Aquanox: Deep Descent either alone or with up to three other friends in co-op mode. Others can join or leave your game at any time.
In addition to the digital edition, there is a limited edition of the game in stores for 39.99 euros that can be pre-ordered from Amazon.de.
In addition to the game, the limited edition includes a serialized soft-touch box, the soundtrack, a double-sided poster, a making-of DVD and an art book.
Aquanox: Deep Descent was originally announced in 2014, so it took a while to complete.
