Beyond Good and Evil 2 | Will have “a big impact on video games”, says Ubisoft CEO

Beyond Good and Evil 2 is one of Ubisoft’s most anticipated releases, although details on the game have been revealed to be moderate. Despite this, Ubisoft is confident that it will be a transformative title.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said the game will have a “big impact on video games” after the company moves to a new office in Montpellier, France.

After moving offices to a new 12 million euro studio in Montpellier, Guillemot spoke to the French website Le Point about the impact that the new workspace will have on the game.

“The quality of life in this region can be an asset to bring in the best talent,” he said. “Montpellier is a very important worldwide studio for us, which has shown the way to innovation thanks to Rayman. Currently, our teams are working on Beyond Good and Evil 2, which is likely to have a major impact on video games. “

Ubisoft Montpellier was recently responsible for games like Rayman Legends and Valiant Hearts: The Great War, so an open world game is certainly an ambitious project for the team. Still, it seems that Guillemot is confident that Ubisoft Montpellier is making progress.

Ubisoft has not yet confirmed the release date for Beyond Good and Evil 2, nor the platforms on which it will be released.
