First teaser trailer shows Birds of Prey Harley Quinn and Other Characters

A first teaser trailer for Birds of Prey shows a lot of characters you will see in the spin-off of DC’s Suicide Squad. Of course you see Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) prominently in the picture, but other characters also pass in review:

Birds of Prey is all about a bunch of badass female DC characters crossing paths. Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco) will be featured in the film. The villain in Birds of Prey, Black Mask, will be played by Ewan MacGregor.

Margot Robbie also dropped a first photo of Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey on Instagram with a playful caption: “Miss me?”

Birds of Prey should be in Dutch cinemas in 2020.

Rumor: Black Widow movie is probably 16+

The new Black Widow movie could just get a higher age limit than you expect. A rumor on Crazy Days and Nights, a platform on which all the hubbub from Hollywood can be read, says that the new film around Natasha ‘Black Widow’ Romamov is for sixteen years and older. Various media outlets picked up on the rumor after it appeared online.

If the rumor were true, Black Widow would be the first Marvel Studios movie to get a high age limit. This is reportedly seen as a major risk, as Marvel’s cinema films are generally also intended for younger viewers. Fox, as you know, brought a good dose of violence to the superhero world with the 16+ films Deadpool 1 & 2 and Logan. The three films were received with critical acclaim.

Scarlett Johansson will once again play the role of Natasha Romanov in Black Widow, becoming the second female protagonist in an MCU film: on March 6, it will be Brie Larson’s turn to take the title role in Captain Marvel.

Joker’s script was rewritten during recording

Joker director Todd Philips is said to have rewritten the script for the film about Batman’s nemesis daily while the filming was in progress. Actress Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2), who will likely play the role of Harley Quinn, said in an interview with MTV News:

What can we expect from the new #Joker movie? According to Zazie Beetz, they rewrote the movie as they were shooting it pic.twitter.com/TkYkVnJwl9

– MTV NEWS (@MTVNEWS) January 26, 2019

According to Beetz, the rewrites were necessary because lead actor Joaquin Phoenix had to lose so much weight that re-recordings were not possible:

We had to do everything then because Joaquin had lost so much weight that we couldn’t do reshoots later on so we were figuring it out, ”Beetz said. “But Todd’s quick at getting stuff done so we always had extra time.

Joker will be in cinemas from October 3.

New look at Lobo in DC series Krypton

You could already see his face in the first Injustice game, but DC Comics’ bounty hunter Lobo will get a live action rendition for the first time in the second season of the DC series Krypton! Emmett J. Scanlan (Constantine, Guardians of The Galaxy) was cast last October to play Lobo, and a new photo of Scanlan as the intergalactic mercenary has emerged today. Actor Cameron Cuffe, who stars in Krypton Superman’s grandpa Seg-El, dropped the photo on Twitter:

Imagine if you will, that the Joker and Wolverine had a baby and they raised this baby on a steady diet of Bane’s Venom, Glam Metal and murder. That’s Lobo. pic.twitter.com/xrkhn2BhQE

– Cameron Cuffe (@thecameroncuffe) January 27, 2019

According to Cuffe you can see Lobo as a child of The Joker and Wolverine who ingested a good amount of Bane’s poison. How crazy Lobo will be in Krypton, you can see when the second season of Krypton can be seen on SYFY this year.
