In addition to bringing the Diablo franchise to mobile devices with the announcement of Diablo Immortal, Blizzard is interested in doing the same with Warcraft, another of the company’s most important brands. According to a report by Kotaku, the company is developing a new Warcraft game with strong inspiration in Pokémon Go.

The work on this game is said to be being done by the same department responsible for Diablo Immortal and is led by a designer fan of Pokémon. The idea, however, is to include more elements of the Warcraft franchise and mechanics so that it can be played by one person. It is not yet clear what kind of use of augmented reality the team intends to implement or even if it will use this technology.

Also according to the article, the profits from these games made for cell phones should be used to finance more traditional sequences of franchises. This is the case with Diablo IV, a title that is under development, but has not yet had details officially revealed by the company.
