A few days ago, we reported a rumor that the singleplayer campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, in a remastered version. This, to follow the path taken so far, with the publication of the remastered campaigns of the first two chapters of the series.
Unfortunately, at the moment, Activision hasn’t announced anything about it yet and the existence of Modern Warfare 3 remastered is simply a rumor from TheGamingRevolution, an insider and famous Call of Duty leaker who had already accurately predicted the arrival of Warzone.
Always remaining on the subject of Modern Warfare remastered, TheGamingRevolution wanted to reveal a particular background: apparently, the campaign of Modern Warfare 2 has been remastered not only thanks to the agreements that had been made between Activision and Sony regarding Call of Duty, which include marketing rights, exports and much more, but above all because the Japanese giant would have directly financed its development. This rumor was also confirmed by other sites and insiders.
This would explain why the title was released as an exclusive timeline on PlayStation 4: the Modern Warfare 2 campaign was released on PlayStation 4 on March 31, 2020, while it will arrive on Xbox One and PC on April 30, 2020. TheGamingRevolution claims that these deals will include also Modern Warfare 3, but we can only talk about that if and when it comes out.
The remastered version of the first Modern Warfare (complete with multiplayer) was sold as a bonus bundle along with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. In your opinion, if it hadn’t been for Sony, Activision would have remastered the sequel campaigns? Or would the publisher sooner or later do it on his own initiative?
