We are four days away from the official premiere of Monster Hunter World on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, to PC will arrive next fall. It will be one of the titles of the year for sure, the wait has been long but on Friday we can enjoy it.

Monster Hunter World is not coming to Switch, Campcom explains

Kaname Fujioka and Yuya Tokuda (directors of Monster Hunter World) in a premiere by IGN gave the details of why the game did not reach the hybrid platform of Nintendo.

“Partly it is because the title has been in development for almost 4 years. At the time when we had to compromise on our hardware options, we decided to use the most powerful current generation consoles available at the time, which were the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. So before the Switch was announced or went on sale.

It is also because for each title we decide which is the best hardware option for the concept. We don’t just look at everything. It’s more like: “If we want to achieve this type of game concept, what is the best place to achieve it? And for this title, Playstation 4 and Xbox One were the best for us »

It is clear that at the moment they have no intention of designing the game for the portable console. They will surely rethink it in the future. Being able to enjoy that gaming experience anywhere can be brutal and it would also be a sales success, like almost any game that goes on sale on Switch. We will have to wait.

Last week we attended the official presentation event of the game in Spain where we could learn new details of the new game of Capcom.
