Dragon Ball FighterZ – How to Perform Super Attacks with Goku, Vegeta, Coldness, and more

In Dragon Ball FighterZ, some of the most complex – but also most powerful – attacks you can perform are called Super Moves, or simply by Super Attacks. These attacks can be unique to a specific character and in this guide to combos of Dragon Ball FighterZ we will inform you about how you can execute each attack that we know to date for characters like Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, among others.

For complete information about this game, including its release date and each confirmed character you can play with, you can always go to our guide on everything we know about Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Dragon Ball FighterZ – How to fill the Super Meter

At the bottom of the screen in Dragon Ball FighterZ you can see a bar that fills every time you attack your opponent. This bar is known as Super Meter and you will have to fill it in completely if you want to successfully execute any of the Super Moves that we have listed below. Each Super Move that you execute will drain this bar up to a certain amount, so you will have to decide on which Super Move you will spend the power that you have been accumulating.

Dragon Ball FighterZ – How to perform Super Moves

Next, we’ll detail all the Super Moves we know from Dragon Ball FighterZ, which includes characters like Goku and Vegeta, but also villains like Cell and Frieza. We will explain to you how to perform each of these attacks for each character, even if you are using a traditional command

Frieza’s Super Moves in Dragon Ball FighterZ

The first Super Move on our list belongs exclusively to Frieza and is called “Death Ball”. This attack only requires that part of the power bar is filled and can be performed by pressing the right bumper at the same time that you pull the analog stick down and move it 90 degrees counterclockwise. The Death Ball attack will not take long to load and is not very complicated to execute, even for the novices who are playing for the first time.

Another Super Move that belongs to Frieza is called Nova Strike but, this time, you need three pieces of your super meter to be filled. You can do this movement by pulling the analog stick down and turning it 90 degrees clockwise, while simultaneously pressing the right bumper. This attack removes about half of the opponent’s health, but it can take a while to load.

Alternatively, you can simply press the right trigger instead of the right bumper with the combination above to run Nova Strike but you will have the transformation to Golden Frieza instead. This is currently the only transformation announced for Dragon Ball FighterZ, but you will need three pieces of the loaded bar to complete it.

Cell Super Moves in Dragon Ball FighterZ

Now let’s look at Cell, which appears to be a relatively easy-to-use character for players making their debut in Dragon Ball FighterZ. To start your most basic super move, called Energy Field, which needs a piece of your bar filled in, you just have to pull the analog stick down and turn it 90 degrees counterclockwise – at the same time, you have to press the right bumper or the right trigger.

Cell’s second Super Move is more complex, called Solar Kamehameha, which you can do as soon as you have three pieces of the meter filled – then you just have to pull the analog stick down and press the right bumper or trigger at the same time. It is undoubtedly the most powerful Super Move in the Cell catalog, but you will need more time to charge the energy needed to execute it.

Innocent Buu’s Super Moves in Dragon Ball FighterZ

Next up is Innocent Buu, the final form of Majin Buu. Your basic Super Move is called You Know What? I Hate You! and make sure you have a full power bar and, as we said earlier for the other characters, you have to pull the analog stick down and rotate it 90 degrees counterclockwise while pressing the bumper right.

His most powerful attack is called You’re my Snack Now !, and it is where, apparently, Innocent turns his opponent into nothing more, nothing less, than a cracker. As always, the most powerful Super Move for each character costs three bars of power, and can be performed by pulling the analog stick down, rotating it clockwise and, at the same time, clicking on the right trigger or bumper.

Super Vegeta Moves in Dragon Ball FighterZ

Proceeding for the heroes of Dragon Ball FighterZ, we have Vegeta first, whose basic Super Move is called Big Bang Attack and can be executed using only a portion of the super meter. To make this attack, you only have to pull the analog stick down and then anti-clockwise, pressing the right bumper or trigger to start the attack.

For Vegeta’s most powerful attack (Final Flash), you will need to have three bars filled and, as always, you can activate it by turning the stick clockwise and pressing the trigger or the right bumper. As you can see from the amount of power you use in this attack, this is the deadliest move that Vegeta can perform at the heart of the battle.

Goku’s Super Moves in Dragon Ball FighterZ

The hero of the Dragon Ball saga, Goku, has three Super Moves revealed, for the time being, the first being called Super Kamehameha. This attack forces you to fill part of the bar and is performed by pulling the stick down and turning it counterclockwise – at the same time, press the right bumper.

Goku’s next Super Move also only needs a filled bar and is called Instant Transmission Kamehameha. You only have to rotate the analog clockwise while pressing the right trigger. With this attack, you will make Goku disappear entirely and appear behind his opponent.

Finally, Goku’s most powerful Super Move requires three pieces of the attack bar and is called Meteor Smash. Rotate the stick clockwise while clicking on the right bumper or trigger and you will inflict three small attacks on your opponent and end with a massive attack.

Android 18 Super Moves in Dragon Ball FighterZ

The first android character on this list, Android 18, has two Super Moves in Dragon Ball FighterZ, the first of which is called Energy Wave and only needs a filled super meter bar. To carry out the attack, pull the analog stick down and turn it 90 degrees clockwise – at the same time, you will have to press two of the attack buttons.

For the most powerful Super Moves on Android 18, you’ll have to do the same button combination that we specified earlier, but this time, you need to rotate the analog stick counterclockwise. The most powerful Super Move is called Accel Dance and forces two bars to be full.

Beerus Super Moves in Dragon Ball FigherZ

For our feline Dragon Ball fighter FigherZ there are two options for Super Moves. The first is called Beerus Ball and requires only a piece of the power bar – you can use this attack by pulling the stick down and turning it clockwise, while pressing any of the attack buttons.

The other Super Move in Beerus’ repertoire is called Judgment and you need to have three bars full in order to be able to execute it. This time, rotate the stick counterclockwise and press two attack buttons to execute it.

Kid Buu’s Super Moves in Dragon Ball FighterZ

This fighter has three Super Moves available in Dragon Ball FighterZ. The weaker two, called Human Extinction Attack and Pearl Flash, are executed by pulling the analogue stick down and turning it clockwise, while pressing two attack buttons. You will be able to use the Human Extinction Attack if you are on the ground and the Super Move Pearl Flash if you are in the air.

Finally, for Kid Buu’s most powerful Super Move called Planet Crusher, you’ll have to rotate the stick counterclockwise and press two attack buttons – don’t forget that you have to have three power bars filled.

This is the complete list of all the Super Moves in Dragon Ball FighterZ that we know so far, but if a new one appears, we will include it in this guide.
