Netflix announced that the One piece The EGGHEAD animated arc, which began airing tonight, will begin streaming on Netflix starting next Saturday, January 13. For now, the streaming service only offers pre-skip. One piece bows available from East Blue to Marineford. It will be interesting to see if the rest of the series will arrive on Netflix soon to allow its users to catch up.

Tonight’s episode marked the start of a brand new arc: EGGHEAD. This arc will see Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates encounter Dr. Vegapunk, a mysterious character long teased in the manga. Currently, the EGGHEAD arc is ongoing in the manga, so for now, the anime and manga will be producing content for the same arc.
Hiroshi Kitadani was in charge of the opening, titled “A~su!” » Fans of One piece will recognize Kitadani as he sang the show’s original opening, “We Are!” ” and other incredible openings for the animated series, like “We Go!” » and “Over the top!” » The opening video is a beautiful creation directed by Megumi Ishitani, who was also responsible for directing episode 1015. Maki Otsuki’s “Dear Sunrise” is the end of the EGGHEAD arc, which so far constitutes the 20th ending theme of the series. . It introduces Luffy and each member of his crew, with flashbacks to his first encounters with each of them and when they joined the crew. It’s a heartwarming ending that truly fits the start of the “Final Saga.”
One piece is based on the manga of the same name written by Eiichiro Oda. Serialization began in 1997, and the anime debuted in 1999. Toei Animation has been handling anime production since the beginning and continues to produce weekly episodes even today. In Japan, new episodes air every Sunday morning at 9:30 JST on television networks. Standard One piece Anime episodes air at 9:00 p.m. CST on Crunchyroll, where they are simulcast.
