Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter begins with Alice De’Bouvier and a crying boy walking into Holmes’ office. Little Tom has been missing his father, who has obviously not returned home, for three weeks and trustingly turns to the overly talented nose Holmes. He can now ask him about various topics before the so-called character analysis starts.

The aim is to search the boy with the cursor and click on the appropriate spot every time it flashes yellow. This is how you determine abnormalities and have to put them into the right context every now and then. For Tom this would be:

1. Eyes> Cried recently
2. Neck> Pale skin, malnutrition
3. Right shoulder patch> Caring parents

4. Pendant necklace> 8 years old
5. Card in vest pocket> Can read and use card
6. Deformed left arm> malformation

Confirms the completeness of this analysis and you can look up the information found in the notebook under “Character portraits” at any time if it becomes relevant again. Tom then holes with questions. You will learn, among other things, that the Father George Hurst is called. You can disagree with the boy’s statement to the police officers who are of the opinion that his progeny has simply disappeared and as Counter-evidence “caring parents” cite. You also learn that the family is poor and that Daddy often worked as a day laborer.

He took a new job three weeks ago, but this time he was angry and strange. Asks about the three weeks and contradicts Tom with reference to his age. Bring the dialogue with the little one to an end and you can take a look around Holmes’ office afterwards.

Whitechapel: Dorset Street

If you are ready, then open your notebook and there the second tab from the left. This is the fast travel feature. Click here on Whitechapel and Holmes will automatically make his way there in a carriage. Walk through the archway in front of you and turn right onto North Street. The next street on your left is Dorset Street.

You are right here.

Enter that House number 12 and march up the steps to the right. Turn left into the corridor and knock on the Door with the letter E.. Behind it, little Tom is waiting for you longingly. Hurst’s apartment is recorded in the diary as a fast travel point and can now be accessed directly.

You can now take a look at several points inside the apartment: the tools on the right behind the door, the jacket with the flyer in your pocket (for this you have to use the RB / R1 detective view and pull out the paper), the bowl with the dripping one Water, the book on the desk, the photo of the mother and the bills on the round table, the food in the kitchen and the bookshelf next to the desk. It is really important that you the Ladder into the small litter bin used above where it is too dark to see anything. Knowing this, Holmes can do the Candle and matches from the table and is able to turn on the light upstairs.

You can only see something up here with the candle.

The boxes on the left won’t get you any further, but behind the box on the right you will find a leather bag. Open it with a click on the buckle and take the Letter to George Hurst out. This also refers to the pub, just like the flyer in your jacket pocket. If you’ve done everything right, you can still rely on Tom Old Tabard Pub address and then have your next goal. By the way, the goal of searching the apartment only disappears when you have checked out all of the hotspots described above.
