Control has two DLC to explore: The Foundation Y AWE. Before you start playing them, you will need to know how to start each.
The Foundation takes Jesse to the origins of the Immemorial House to find out what happened to Marshall, the FBC’s Director of Operations, who disappeared during the Control campaign.
For its part, AWE takes us to explore the Investigations Section, previously closed, and has a certain connection to another Remedy game: Alan Wake.

How to start The Foundation Control DLC
To start The Foundation DLC in Control, you’ll first need to complete the main Control story.
As soon as you have done it, it will automatically start the first mission of the DLC, also called The Foundation.
If you are having trouble getting through this DLC, we recommend playing side missions to get more skill points.
How to start the AWE DLC in Control
If you want to play the AWE Control DLC and explore the Research Sector, you will first need to make sure that you have successfully downloaded the DLC.
The only additional requirement is to complete the seventh mission of the main Control story: The Face of the Enemy.
Although you can start it at this point, we recommend that you play the main campaign, some secondary missions and even the DLC The Foundation first to get in good shape.
When you reach Face of the Enemy or load Control, AWE’s first mission, A Dark Place, will begin, giving you access to the Investigations Sector from the Executive elevator.
