Since most commercial video games are created with game consoles in mind, their control schemes mostly adhere to established control standards. However, even if a game is optimized for a controller, some people just prefer to play with a keyboard instead. Disney Dreamlight Valley Keyboard Commands Guide
The PC version of Disney Dreamlight Valley supports mouse and keyboard. However, given its cross-platform build, it’s optimized for one controller and won’t be very outspoken about its keyboard layout unless you look it up yourself.

- WASD or arrow keys: movement
- E: Interact
- Mouse: camera movement
- K: Center the camera behind the player
- Tab: Show Tool Wheel
- 1: Go empty-handed
- 2: Go to the watering can
- 3: Cut to the shovel
- 4: Switch to the fishing rod
- 5: Switch to the pickaxe
- 6: Switch to camera
- Spacebar or right mouse button: use held tool
Menu Commands
- Q&E: Previous and Next menu tab
- U: Open Dreamlight tab
- I: Open the Inventory tab
- O: Open the Collection tab
- F: Open the Furniture tab
- L: Open Quests tab
- V: Open Wardrobe tab
- B: Show current companion bonuses
- M: Open Map tab
- T: Open the Quick Travel menu in the map
- F: Open map filters in map
- Esc: Open the most recent menu
If you’re playing on a PC, you can switch to keyboard controls whenever you want by simply moving the mouse or pressing any key. You don’t need to manually switch between a controller and a keyboard. Keep in mind, however, that Disney Dreamlight Valley does not offer remappable controls.
