The Heavenscale event is right around the corner and it looks like instead of listening to the community, Riot is just going to continue nerfing event passes moving forward.
The community is not happy with Riot. After laying off over 500 employees, cutting Legends of Runeterra’s budget, and putting Riot Forge on ice, the community already hasn’t had a very positive feeling about Riot Games and the current situation. Now, players must find out that the Heavenscale Event Pass is also being nerfed.
Add to that the fact that Riot already handed out fewer rewards – or what seemed like less for the community – during the Winterblessed event, and you have a pretty unhappy player base right now.
LoL Heavenscale Event: Fewer Purses
Although it was revealed that Riot is adding a Heavenscale capsule to the event pass at level 26, according to Notlin Games, there will be fewer purses that players will receive.
While the Heavenscale event is still two weeks away, in the official Chinese LoL patch 14.2 patch notes, Riot has already made mention of the upcoming changes to the event pass.
Event Pass nerfed ONCE AGAIN

According to Matty Love Gaming, the event pass and rewards have always been the same on Chinese and international servers, so these changes will likely affect international League of Legends fans as well.
In the Chinese patch notes, it is written that there will be some changes for this event pass. A Heavenscale capsule will be added. This capsule will include 3 random skin fragments, the same as a Grab Bag.
However, two purses have been removed from the milestone track, as well as an event emote. Instead, players will earn the usual 20 tokens upon reaching event pass level 55, as well as a title to add to their profile.
So, to summarize, Riot is going to remove Grab Bags, but add a Heavenscale capsule. This essentially means that players will receive fewer rewards containing random skin fragments.
For Winterblessed 2023, the community has been vocal about their frustration, but with the way things have been going, that doesn’t seem to make much difference, as it doesn’t seem like Riot is actually listening to the feedback… well we all I know people will still buy the Battle Pass anyway.
