Chrome by default in iOS, or how to open links in Google Chrome on your iPhone or iPad
Recently, the developers of iOS (iPadOS) have considerably expanded the rights of users, preventing them from having to jailbreak the system. For example, with the release of iOS 14, there is an option to set a default browser.

Starting with iOS 14, third-party web browsers and email clients can be used by default on iPhones and iPads. This news will please users who, for some reason, do not like Apple’s Safari and Mail browser. In the future, it can be expected that a similar measure will be applied to other categories of programmes. When you click a link in any app, it opens in your default browser. Before iOS 14, you might have an alternative browser on your system, like Google Chrome, but clicking a link always opens Safari.

How to Set Google Chrome as Default Browser on iPhone
1. Download the latest version of Google Chrome from the App Store.
2. Open the “.settings» and go to the Google Chrome settings page.
3. Click on «Default browser«.
4. Touch «Chrome«.
As a result of these actions, any application that performs a standard URL open operation will now tell the system to launch Google Chrome instead of Safari.
If you ever change your mind, you can go back to settings and change the default browser to Safari. If you want to use a third-party browser other than Chrome, you’ll have to wait for the developer to update the app and add that feature.
A similar approach has been put in place with the Mail app change.

How to open web links in Google Chrome on iPhone or iPad without jailbreak on old iOS versions?
1. Open this page in the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Copy the following line:

3. Press the button. “Share”. and select in the menu “Add bookmark”.
4. Specify a convenient place to save the bookmark and rename it, for example, “Open in Chrome”. Click Save.
5. Press the Bookmarks button and click the button. On the right.
6. Select the tab created in step 4 “Open in Chrome”. It will open in edit mode.
7. In the URL field, delete the link and paste the text you copied in step 2.
8. Click Done.
9. Now, to open any page in Google Chrome browser, click on the Bookmarks button and select the bookmark you have created “Open in Chrome” After that, the link will open in Chrome.
