We may not get the Insomniac Spider-Man game alongside Call of Duty: WWII after all.

We can’t help but notice that as we approach the PlayStation 5 announcement, Sony has switched to PlayStation Plus monthly games, as subscribers have recently been able to pull in titles like Uncharted 4: The Thief’s End or just Cities: Skylines. We can’t expect any less from the June launch, one of the surprises of which has already been revealed: Call of Duty: WWII can be bagged now, we don’t have to wait for it.

Earlier, thanks to a oddity from the British PlayStation Store, we thought Marvel’s Spider-Man could be another free game next month, but based on the latest leak, we seem to be getting assault squads instead of mesh weavers. Allegedly, an official PlayStation Instagram has unveiled an ad that has since been canceled, announcing that in June, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will be for subscribers. Fortunately, a YouTube channel captured in time:

Maybe DICE is already done with Battlefront 2, but it looks like Sony isn’t there yet and plans to crown the Days of Play period with two excellent games.

Would you be happy for him if it turned out to be true?
