Night City is full of items that are called Consumer goods and appear in the inventory under exactly this point (the pill symbol). This means that you can use these things exactly once before they are unusable and disappear from your backpack.

To use it in the inventory you have to hold down X or A. In the following overview we show what types of consumables there are, what effects they have and where you can buy or find them.
