Cyberpunk 2077 | It was delayed because it runs badly on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
THE Cyberpunk 2077 had a very substantial delay. The game was postponed from April to September this year, with the developer CD Projekt Red stating that the additional development time would allow for a much more polished product. But, according to Borys Niespielak, a supposed member of the studio, the consoles of the current generation are the main reason for the delay.
Niespielak talks about the situation in a Polish podcast. He basically says that CDPR was in real trouble when Cyberpunk 2077 performed on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is not clear whether Niespielak is referring only to basic systems or Pro and X as well.
Apparently, the developer had a deadline to resolve these issues, if things weren’t fixed by January 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 would have to be postponed. It is a rumor that, at least on a superficial level, it seems real. We cannot speak for Niespielak’s reliability, but he is confident enough to appear on camera and talk about what has been said.
Cyberpunk 2077 arrives on September 17 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
