Dead or Alive 6 generates controversy in Evo Japan for affecting the integrity of the event

The Dead or Alive series has always stood out for its sensuality and the way it uses fighters to promote new releases, but Koei Tecmo may have gone too far in Evo Japan.

Dead or Alive 6 is present at Evo Japan and during a presentation led by Yohei Shimbori, game director, the live broadcast was cut off and the organization apologized to viewers.

The cut in transmission happened because while playing, Shimbori was constantly pausing the game at specific times to bring the image of the fighters’ b*****s closer.

Shimbori also commented on some movements, as you can see in the image, while manipulating the camera to demonstrate the sensuality of each situation, something that has always been part of the image of Dead or Alive.

To make things stranger, Shimbori was accompanied by two models who were constantly commenting on the sensuality of the movements and commenting on each other’s bodies.

The transmission was interrupted, but you can see videos of the poses compromising with the game stopped and of the models that commented on each other’s bodies, thanks to ResetERA, while Shimbori played.

The organization interrupted the broadcast and apologized for this segment that it considered inappropriate for Evo Japan and for not representing the values of the fighting game community.

Dead or Alive 6 will hit stores on March 1st and it looks like Koei Tecmo is really determined to focus on sensuality to make it stand out.
