Destiny 2 will have cross-play and will run in 4K and 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X
Yesterday (09), Bungie performed a special transmission of Destiny 2, revealing the new expansions Beyond the Light that arrives in September this year, The Witch Queen for 2021 and Lightfall (working name) for 2022. In addition, the developer announced that the game will run at 60 FPS and in 4K on the PS5 and Xbox Series X, and is also planning to bring cross-play next year to the title.
Bungie says that they are aiming for Destiny 2 cross-play in 2021
Also: each year, before an expansion comes out, Bungie will remove older Destiny content that is not being played anymore to more effectively manage the game

Unfortunately, Bungie did not provide further details on how the feature would work and whether the new generation consoles would also enter into cross-platform gaming.

However, great news for fans of the first game: Destiny content will return to the second game in the series.
