The ESBR will be rating a PC version of Sunset Overdrive, Netflix will continue Season 3 of Castlevania, and a Diablo amiibo will be released. That and more in this brand new Night Watch.

While the wonderfully soothing sounds of Red Dead Redemption 2’s PS4 theme play in the background (the Guard can’t wait to get back to work with that delightful game!), He has a brand new Night Watch for you here. As if the gigantic Super Smash Bros. Ultimate blowout yesterday afternoon wasn’t enough!

Sunset Overdrive is probably coming to PC

In the “It’s About Time” category: The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has given an age rating to a PC version of Sunset Overdrive. That is striking, because the Xbox One exclusive is still completely announced for the PC!

Usually there is fire when there is smoke at ESRB, so it seems that PC gamers can one day get started with this wonderfully playing game from Insomniac (the developer behind Spider-Man). Now we have to wait for an official announcement. Sunset Overdive was released on Xbox One in 2014.

Check out the Frozen Altars level from Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Can’t wait for Spyro Reignited Trilogy too? The makeovers of the Spyro the Dragon trilogy look beautiful as far as the trailers are giving away, and this new gameplay fragment does not refute that either.

The video shows the Frozen Altars level from Spyro: Year of the Dragon. In it, a fairy gives the purple dragon an icy breath of fire, allowing players to freeze enemies and then ram them into a thousand pieces.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be released November 13 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game should have been released on September 21, but apparently it took a little more time to complete the trilogy. De Wacht is hoping for three dragons of games … but in a positive sense of course!

Website has to pay a million British pounds for leaking information about Red Dead Redemption 2

Oops: the English website Trusted Reviews has to pay one million British pounds to Take-Two Interactive because it leaked information about Red Dead Redemption 2 earlier this year. The website flattened an article in February this year detailing Red Dead Redemption 2’s single player and online mode. How the company obtained this information has not been publicly disclosed, but it is now being mercilessly punished for it.

Now the job of a journalist is to bring information, leaked or not, to his readers. This is of course only possible if no NDA has been signed for that information. Info about games leaks out so often. But a journalist or publication can be legally punished if he or she got the information in an illegal way, for example because he or she paid for a leaked document. In addition, there are all kinds of laws in Great Britain that protect companies to prevent these types of leaks. It is not known exactly how the fork sits in the stem.

There is a golden edge to the story: the million British pounds go to charities chosen by Take-Two Games.

Netflix approves third season of Castlevania

The fine second season of the Netflix series Castlevania, based on the eponymous Konami game franchise, has not been on the streaming service for very long, but the third season has now also been approved. Producer Adi Shankar said this on Twitter.

The first season appeared last year and only had four episodes, but they already showed considerable potential. The second season has twice as many episodes and appeared on October 26. The third season will have ten episodes, but when we can expect the series and what exactly will happen is not yet known. Still, great news!

Demo of Tetris Effect now available, mini docu released

Yesterday the demo of Tetris Effect was launched on PlayStation 4. The game contains the well-known puzzle concept, but with extra style and good vibes, as you would expect from Rez and Lumines creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi.

To celebrate the launch of the demo, a mini-documentary has also been posted online that takes a closer look at the ‘tetris effect’. And yes, that is a real term that has been used for years. You can find out exactly what it entails in the document below.

Tetris Effect will be released on PlayStation 4 on November 9th. The game supports PlayStation VR.

Diablo 3 gets an amiibo

Blizzard has announced an official amiibo based on Diablo 3. It’s a Loot Goblin statue and will be in stores sometime in December. The amiibo can be used in the Switch version of the game to accumulate wealth, although it is not clear how much it is exactly. Anyway, most people who buy this amiibo want to have it with the rest of the collection.

There have been rumors about an amiibo based on Diablo 3, as dataminers in the Switch game had found information about two amiibo. Indeed: two amiibo. Would a second one be announced? This weekend during Blizzcon, for example?

Grim Fandango Remastered out now on Switch, PS4 physical version in the works

Grim Fandango Remastered is a new version of the classic adventure game that is already available on multiple platforms, but now also on the Switch eShop. In addition, a physical version of the game is coming to the PlayStation 4. This physical edition includes a gold train ticket. The game is playable on all PS4s, so ordering the US version is no problem.

Finally, the soundtrack will also be released on vinyl. It concerns two records with a beautiful cover and album art made by Holly Rothrock. A wonderful collector’s item for game fans and record collectors.

So, the Guard returns to its PlayStation 4 to skin three star skins and chew tobacco. Have a nice Friday everyone!
