Anyone can embark on a journey of discovery in the Modern Warfare battle royale, and it doesn’t even require any special tricks.
The battle royale game mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare hasn’t even been confirmed, but we’ve seen traces of it several times. There were those who could fly into the battlefield due to a charging bug, and there were those who glitched themselves in with the spectator mode camera. The latter is now available to everyone thanks to a post on / r / ModernWarfare.
The first step is to start a private round on the Vacant track. When the match starts, just switch to specator mode and with the camera you can also see the battlefield of battle royale mode. Due to a bug, the game lets us out of Vacant’s borders (which, according to the info, is a small part of the whole battle royale map, by the way), so we can float to an arena we haven’t seen before.
Of course, the whole battlefield is not rendered by the game, so we can only see the blurred outlines of the whole thing. If we go closer, it will appear that there is no texture here and there, the buildings are not worked out properly yet, that is just a theoretical basis.
If you spectate in a private match on Vacant, you can explore the entire Ground War / Battle Royale map from r / modernwarfare
By the way, the glitch in principle also confirms the previously rumored feature, the essence of which is that the eliminated players go to the Gulag for a 1v1 round, and the winner can return to the fight.
All that remains is for Activision and Infinity Ward to finally officially announce the Modern Warfare battle royale game mode. We hope they don’t expect too much from this anymore.
