Earn additional cards during Heartstone Whispers of the Old Gods launch week

Heartstoneplayers can complete quests during launch week of the Whispers of the Old Gods expansion to earn additional cards. Blizzard announced this during a live stream.

Whoever completes a special launch quest will receive five card packs. The challenge involves winning two games of the new Standard mode. A second quest where you have to triumph in seven Standard matches yields another five card packs.

In this way Blizzard wants to introduce the new Standard mode. In this game variant, old cards are forbidden, to give new players a fair chance against veterans with an extensive collection.

The Heartstone Whispers of the Old Gods release date is April 27.
