Epic Games Store: Borderlands 3 is free on Mac!

You have nothing planned this weekend? So be prepared to leave the shutters closed and not set foot outside: Borderlands 3 is free on Mac! This title released in 2019 is usually displayed at the price of 60 €, but is offered on the Epic Game Store until May 26. Epic’s store regularly offers freebies, but Mac compatible ones are quite rare.

This frenetic first-person shooter is a “looter shooter” in which you will discover a universe mixing Wild West, steampunk, and galactic exploration. Several classes are offered and the weapons found in the field are procedurally generated, which often offers crazy combinations. You can choose between four characters, each with their own skills, playstyle and customization options. A co-op mode is available online or in split-screen.

On the configuration side, the game is not light since it requires 101 GB of free space! It requires at least an Intel Core i7 processor (4.2 GHZ) as well as an AMD Radeon Pro 580 graphics card with 8 GB of VRAM. Installation is done via the Epic Games Launcher. The game seems to run fine on a MacBook Air M1, so you shouldn’t have a problem with the more powerful chips.
