Final Fantasy 7 Remake will have classic battle mode for nostalgic fans
During the Tokyo Game Show 2019 taking place at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba, Japan, Square Enix showed more of the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake, confirming that the title will feature a classic battle mode similar to the original 1997 game.
According to producer Yoshinori Kitase and as recapitulated through the official game profile on Twitter, this optional mode will bring back the gameplay of turn battles with selectable commands via a menu, different from the styles already shown that resemble more titles recent games like Final Fantasy XV.

Players who choose to use the classic mode may, instead of worrying about the more dynamic side of the battle system, focus on selecting commands just as they did in the original JRPG.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released worldwide for PlayStation 4 on March 3, 2020.
