Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XV Collaboration Announced

After surprising strangers themselves at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest being held in Paris with the announcement of Yorha: Dark Apocalypse, a collaboration between FFXIV and designers Yoko Taro and Yosuke Saito set in the world of Nier Automata, the producer of the Square Enix’s MMORPG, Naoki Yoshida, unveiled another crossover this morning, this time with Final Fantasy XV.

Final Fantasy XIV Online x Final Fantasy XV will be available in mid-April, and in the trailer shown at the event we can see Noctis visiting Eorzea in the Regalia Type-R (which will be a four-player mount). The campsite and some characteristic elements of the last installment of the franchise have also been seen, although at the moment it is not known if Prompto, Gladio or Ignis will also appear.

Along with the announcement of this new collaboration, the developers have also explained that on February 12, patch 4.55 will be published with the new map of the Winged Rival and the Hidden Dungeon, as well as the Eureka Hydatos. At the end of March, Patch 4.56 will arrive, with new missions, adventures in Hildibrand and missions for the Stormblood beasts. Finally, although still undated, update 4.57 will add the long-awaited World Tour feature, with which users can travel to any world.
