Fortnite has been downloaded 100 million times on iOS. However, the question is whether the app will also appear in Android’s Google Play Store. Other news this N8W8 about: CoD: Black Ops 4, Destiny 2, No Man’s Sky, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and GT Sport.

Fortnite 100 million downloads on iOS; does not appear in Google Play Store?

According to Apptopia, Fortnite has already been downloaded more than 100 million times on iOS. This milestone was reached after 138 days. It was previously announced that the Fortnite app earns an average of $ 2 million per day. The forecast is that by next summer there will be a total of half a billion dollars on the counter.

Bizarre numbers, yet Epic Games still has a long way to go before it catches up with Super Mario Run and Pokémon Go. Competitor PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds lags a bit behind. They are expected to reach these 100 million downloads “only” in another 206 days.

Fortnite will also be appearing on Android devices soon, but may not be in the Google Play Store. The people behind xda developers looked around the Fortnite website and saw this explanation about installing the game.

The above is just a rumor for now. But it may well be that Epic Games does not want to transfer money to Google. This concerns a hefty 30 percent of the turnover. Since iOS is a closed platform, Epic had no choice but to put Fortnite there in the App Store.

It is also rumored that Fortnite on Android can initially be checked exclusively for 30 days on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 …

Epic has not responded yet.

Destiny 2 shows Solstice of Heroes event

Yesterday, Bungie and Activision released a trailer for Destiny 2, introducing you to the new event: Solstice of Heroes. The event can be checked from today until August 28.

Central to the event is the Statue of Heroes that you will find in the Tower. This statue tracks your progress and gives you a Scorched armor set with a power level of 240. Each piece of armor has its own objectives. If you complete this set, your set will change into a Rekindled set with a power level of 340. Then follows the level 400 Resplendent set. The last series of objectives will eventually earn you the Masterwork version.

The event also includes new Moments of Triumph, and dedicated engrams including weapons, vehicles, emotes and armor glows.

No Man’s Sky tested on Xbox One (X)

No Man’s Sky has made its way to the Xbox One (X). Digital Foundry deals with the game. Below you can see how the game runs on Microsoft consoles. Of course also a comparison between the Xbox One and the Xbox One X.

No time, still curious? Here is the overarching conclusion:

The Xbox One X provides the highest possible resolution out of the console versions, but you may want to dial things down to keep the frame rate up. It’s nice to have these options – I just wish players would be given everything possible to make the best choice for how they’d like to play. “

Gran Turismo Sport will receive micro-transactions

It is time for the Gran Turismo Sport July Update. This will add new cars, a new circuit and a new event, among other things. So far, so good … Unfortunately, this update also means the arrival of microtransactions.

First more about the fun content: the circuit in question is the Circuit de Sainte-Croixe, which you can check in three different layouts. You can also customize your overall and helmet with this July update. One of the coolest additions to the voitures is the Mercedes AMG W08, with which Lewis Hamilton won the F1 title last year. Other cars are:

  • Daihatsu Copen Active Top ’02
  • Honda Beat ’91
  • Honda S660 ’15
  • Ferrari 250 GTO CN.3729GT ’62
  • Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car
  • Mazda 787B ’91

The microtransactions reach us on August 2. However, they are already live in other parts of the world. This involves buying those cars that cost less than 2 million in-game. You can get these in Japan for 100 to 300 yen each. It is expected that we will have to pay around € 0.99 to € 2.99. You still have to unlock the more expensive cars in Gran Turismo Sport.

Developer Polyphony Digital has added microtransactions for busy players, who find such a purchase easy. However, the overall structure of GT Sport remains unchanged, according to them.
