The sixth season of Fortnite is live. Through a tweet, Epic Games has announced the kick-off of season 6 and the developer has added a real launch trailer in the post. Patch 6.00 brings the new season and a lot of changes.

Fortnite season 6 has gone live through patch 6.00. A launch trailer and the link to the patch notes have been posted on Fortnite’s Twitter account. Of course, the patch adds more than just the new season, Power Unlimited lists all the information for you.

A new season means a new Battle Pass and that too is shown with a short trailer. There are plenty of new cosmetics and other additions; in total there are more than 100 rewards to be had. The Game Pass can be purchased for 950 V-Bucks. Check out the trailer below:

The new patch also brings pets, cute little creatures that accompany you on the battlefield. ‘Always have a friend watching your back when you drop in’, says Epic on the website, so these little rascals, besides being super cute, will give you an advantage in Battle Royale anyway.

The purple cube reappears, but this time as consumable. Last season, a mysterious purple block also appeared on the map, now you can embrace the darkness and use these cubes. It is not yet known what benefit this consumable provides.

The map is also getting an update, so it is time to explore again in Battle Royale. Changes have occurred all over the map, so glide in and search the new map.

During season 6 you will encounter new enemies. This Riot Husky has a super strong shield, so a frontal attack won’t work on this big guy.

Finally, a new mini-event will take place during season 6; participating in Cram Session (Save the World) will of course earn you extra rewards!

Patch 6.00 has a lot of other additions and changes. Do you want to read the patch notes quietly? Then check this link.
