Except for seasons three (March 31) and seven (July 16), every season of Game of Thrones was released in April, but this time we skipped a year. In January Bloys gave showrunners DB Weiss and David Benioff to blame for the delay of the final season:
It was based on when they felt that they could deliver a show that the are most proud of… I suppose we could’ve said to them, You must deliver by this date… But we’ve worked with them a long time and I trust them to tell us. This is the time we need to make it good. So I don’t know that it’s a delay as much as it is This is the time required to deliver at the level that they think the fans expect.
A precise release date in April has not yet been announced. It is known that Jerome ‘Bronn’ Flynn will be present at Heroes Dutch Comic Con in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht on November 24 and 25! Check out more about his visit to the largest comic event in the Netherlands here.
