Gigabyte has announced the launch of a new addition to its VISION product line, this time in the form of a SSD portable external hard drive of the latest generation that they have called VISION DRIVE SSD 1 TB (model number GP-VSD1TB).

It is a device designed so that we can easily expand the storage space of our equipment thanks to its capacity to 1 TB but without sacrificing the transfer speed capable of offering an interface of up to 2,000 MBps.

For this it uses a Phison E12 controller and a port USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-CAlthough a Type-A cable is also included to maintain compatibility with older devices.

In its dimensions of 115x72x20 mm we find a matte white finish with leather inserts and a general aluminum structure that together with internal nanocarbon-coated heatsinks help eliminate the heat produced by the operation of the device.

It also has several reinforcements aimed at protecting the disc from possible blows, having the MIL-STD-810G 516.6 military grade certification and being capable of withstand 48 ” drops. In addition, so that we can store and transport it more safely, a travel case.

Price and availability

The new external hard drive VISION DRIVE SSD 1 TB It will go on sale this month, although the prices that we will have to pay if we want to get one have not yet been made public.
