[HOT] : 9 NEW GAMES IN THE GAME PASS THIS WEEK

It’s the home stretch before 2022, and probably the last report this year for new additions to the Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. Microsoft today unveiled a whole new selection of titles arriving on the subscription service’s catalog through a video uploaded to YouTube. Rather than trickle down over the next two weeks, these titles will be added in one lump on December 16.

In view of the timing, it’s a safe bet that these are the last games to integrate the service for this month of December and this year 2021, therefore. All these new additions will be available both on Xbox Game Pass on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S consoles and on PC Game Pass.

Here is the list of games added to the console, PC and cloud Game Pass on December 16:

  • Ben 10: Power Trip
  • Broken Age
  • Firewatch
  • The Gunk
  • Lake
  • Mortal Kombat 11
  • Paw Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay
  • Race With Ryan
  • Transformers: Battlegrounds

The Gunk en day one

The Gunk is an original new creation from Image & Form, the studio behind the popular SteamWorld franchise. Rather than opting for 2D graphics like the studio’s previous productions, The Gunk takes on an extra dimension — and flaunts artistic direction onion.

This third-person action-adventure game gives pride of place to exploration and platforming phases but also to the collection of materials, an aspect of the gameplay that inevitably makes us think of the games in the SteamWorld series. We also specify that The Gunk is the day one release of this surprise arrival at the end of December.

Live on love and fresh blood

The other titles in this winter selection compete in different genres. First of all, we have resolutely posed and relaxing experiences: first with Broken Age, the Double Fine Games point & click, released in 201X and which arrives for the first time on Microsoft’s subscription service.

We can also mention Firewatch, the adventure game from Annapura Interactive which offers players the role of a ranger during a particularly hectic work day. We will refrain from saying more, just to keep the surprise as much as possible for those who have not yet had the chance to try this particular adventure.

Finally, if all these introspective experiences leave you unmoved, there is always Mortal Kombat 11, the versus fighting of NetherRealms Realms. This eleventh episode remains faithful to the DNA of the fighting game series, with scents of hemoglobin per hectolitre and ever more excessive fatalities.
