[HOT] : FORBIDDEN WEST HORIZON: GUERILLA TALKS ABOUT A SIMILAR IMMERSION ON PLAYSTATION 4 AND PLAYSTATION 5

Scheduled to exit simultaneously on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, like other large cartridges to come from Sony, Horizon Forbidden West should not however noticeably stand out on either of these platforms on the question of immersion.

The Covid-19 pandemic, which itself may have contributed to a shortage of components, a PlayStation 5 not accessible to everyone, a PlayStation 4 still considered by the public: the reasons for persisting in cross-generational titles are multiple.

Horizon: Forbidden West will be one of those, and if its first presentations caused a sensation, many are probably thinking that the title of Guerrilla Games will not be as breathtaking as hoped because of this large gap maintained.

Horizon Forbidden West on PS4 and PS5: no compromise in terms of immersion

In a post published on the PlayStation Blog, Bastien Ramisse, character infographic manager at Guerrilla Games, assured that no version of Horizon: Forbidden West, will take precedence over the other in terms of immersion:

“The fact that the team pushed the technical limits in the PlayStation 5 version of Horizon Forbidden West does not mean that the PlayStation 4 version was forsaken. We have developed and tested the game simultaneously on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as it is essential for us as a studio that players on PlayStation 4 have an equally immersive experience. From what we learned in Horizon Zero Dawn, we knew we could still tap unexplored resources to improve the realism and quality of our character assets. It’s great that today * i can use that experience to create the sequel. ”

Words which therefore teach us that contrary to what was feared, efforts have been made on the PlayStation 5 version of Horizon: Forbidden West so that it does not just give the impression of an improved port of the PS4 grind.

Horizon: Forbidden West is due out in the first quarter of 2022 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. And while the upgrade was advertised for a fee, the scolding of part of the community seems to have led Sony to back down on it. , thus agreeing to a free operation.
