The following guide introduces you all the steps to follow, step by step, to complete 100% the Drummond Island map in Michigan. So that means completing all missions, unlocking all achievements, and collecting all vehicles and upgrades. Of course, if you don’t want to spoil the game, I invite you not to read it.
Note that this guide is a translation of the excellent work done by -Stuart- on Reddit, whom I thank greatly for his work and for accepting that I translate it for the Francophone community of Snowrunner. You will find the original article at this address.
Introduction
In the guide you will find suggestions for trucks to use. This choice is very subjective, ceveryone has their favorites. In this guide, we only use two main vehicles. However, you will accumulate a lot of money as you progress, so feel free to experiment. As a reminder, you can buy and then resell vehicles and upgrades for the same price. So you don’t lose anything by trying different vehicles.
While this guide is quite effective, it is not a speedrun. There are more efficient ways to complete areas 100%.
On the Drummond Island map, we will discover the following elements:
- 4 watchtowers,
- 2 improvements,
- 1 vehicle,
- 11 missions (1 contract + 8 tasks + 1 challenges),
- 1 success.
Step 1: Discover the map and the upgrades
When you arrive on this new map, leave the Azov aside and use the Tatarin to unlock the last 4 watchtowers and retrieve the last 2 improvements . To help you find the improvements, you can consult this guide. The good news is that Dummond Island has a gas station unlike the previous map, the bad news is that there is still no garage. By doing this, you will unlock your sixteenth achievement:

Step 2: Reconstruction of bridges
You have probably noticed that the absence of certain bridges in the area makes your life difficult. So go back to your Azov, leave the trailer with the container for the moment and go to finish the task. Help the rangers using the wooden plank trailer located right next to where you entered Drummond Island. Leave the trailer at the gas station and go to the task marker to accept Bridges and Men. Just north of here you’ll find Michigan’s last truck, the Pacific P16 . It’s useless without a hitch, so grab it and sell it.
Use the trailer you left at the gas station to collect wooden planks and complete Bridges and men . The last task to rebuild the bridges, Ten-Hut requires a lot of deliveries. You will find the metal in a trailer located next to where you are accepting the job. The concrete slabs are located in a trailer near the house where you can accept the Cousin Cletus task. For the second phase of the task, you need to return to the Smithville Dam map and purchase a flatbed semi-trailer from the nearby trailer store then load it up at the warehouse.
Step 3: End of all tasks
Now that the bridges are rebuilt, return to get your trailer with the drilling equipment and deliver it to the port to complete the contract. Port delivery .
Then take back the Tatarin and perform the following tasks: Silent Observer , Forged in the sea (task deleted during updates), Tourist attraction , Mud fight as well as the challenge A race in the rain .
For the last two tasks – Lost delivery and Cousin Cletus , you will need a vehicle with a platform and a loading crane. The problem is that your Azov is always equipped with a low hitch. You can therefore choose to return to the garage, but it is a round trip that will take you time. The alternative to this is to simply use a trailer and ride with the cargo balanced in the back of the truck. Both options work but take time, so make your own choice.
Step 4: It’s time to move on to the last contract
You now only have one contract left: New with the old . To achieve this you are going to need a high hitch that you do not have. You must therefore recover the Azov in the Smithville Dam garage, remove the crane and equip it with a high hitch. You can take the opportunity to get the Tatarin in the garage as well, you won’t need it anymore.
Instead of going directly to the port to do the contract, do the following without ever refueling. Start from the garage on the Smithville Dam map, drive to the Black River map, look no further, turn around and retrace your steps. Now head to the Drummond Island map and continue your way to the waypoint to Island Lake. Again, pass it, stop and retrace your steps. Doing this will allow you to complete 1/3 of the Fuel Savings achievement. You can now refuel and head to the port to pick up the trailer.
Regarding this last contract, Azov can take care of getting the trailer to its destination without any problem. The Pacific P12 and P16 vehicles can also do this very easily. So don’t hesitate to experiment by purchasing other vehicles. In addition, you have the choice of the route. On one side you can take a fast path but where the risks are high because of the rocks in the water near where you will enter on the Smithville Dam map. On the other hand, you can choose to take a longer but safer route via the dam and the farm. I recommend using this second option especially since bugs have been reported by players who could not reset the mission. So you might as well play it safe!
It is a long journey that you will have to take to deliver the trailer. Remember to turn wide when cornering and make good use of the winch points on the trailer if you need to. For the next step, the metal is on a trailer located at the logistics base. Finally, the oil rig is easier to deliver with a low hitch and a flatbed semi-trailer.
Conclusion
By this point, you should have discovered 26 watchtowers, unlocked 21 upgrades and completed 82 missions (20 contracts + 54 tasks + 8 challenges) and be somewhere around level 16. Note: the vehicle counter discovered in-game does not work, there is a bug, but you have discovered 9.
