We are going to explain to you how to use Telegram video editor, a new option that allows you to make basic edits to the video you want to send with the phone before sending it. Currently, this editor is only available in the mobile version of Telegram for Android and iOS, but it has not yet been brought to the desktop version.
The editor is quite simple, but we are going to try to go through the process step by step to use it so that any user, regardless of their knowledge, may be able to take advantage of it. With the, you can add stickers or texts to the video, in addition to being able to make adjustments with the color or cuts.
Edit videos on Telegram
The first thing you have to do is enter a personal conversation or a group and click on the send file button. You have this button at the bottom, to the right of the text field, and it has a clip icon.
When you click on the clip button, a window will open in which you will see the latest photos and videos you have recorded with your mobile, and the option to open the camera from the app to be able to directly record a video or take a photo. Here, choose the method you want to choose or record the video you want to send. If you choose something that you already have in the gallery, you must click on the element instead of simply choosing the option to select it.
Once you have chosen the video you want to share, before sending it, you will go to the screen to add a comment to the video. Here, you will have different elements to edit it according to your needs. Next, we are going to explain what each of the options is for, to which we have added a number.
- 1: Trim the video. In this time bar you have two arrows at both ends, and by moving them you can choose when the video fragment you want to send begins and ends. This adjustment can be made directly from this screen.
- two: Allows you to choose the video quality, in case you want to keep it to the maximum or lower it a bit. By clicking on this option you will go to another screen with your options.
- 3: Allows you to paint or write on the video, also add stickers. It is one of the new options that have been added. By clicking on this option you will go to another screen with your options.
- 4: Allows you to edit how the photo looks, with enhancement, exposure and contrast, and also with color balance. By clicking on this option you will go to another screen with your options.
If you click on the option to choose the video quality, you will go to a screen in which a bar with four dots appears. With the maximum bar you will have the maximum quality of the video, and as you move it to the left you will lose quality, but making the video occupy less size. You just have to choose what you want and press Done.
If you choose the brush option, you will go to a screen in which you have four other different options to add different types of content. We are going to explain each of these options one by one. We have given each of them a different number to identify them.
- 1: This is not a specific option, but a bar that you will see when you click on the brush option or the text option. It will be used to choose the color with which you want to write or draw on the video.
- two: The brush icon is for handwriting or drawing on the video. Just tap on it, choose a color from the bar and draw whatever you want with your finger.
- 3: Used to add stickers to the video. Use the same stickers that you can find in Telegram conversations, and you can change their position or size by sliding your fingers on them on the screen.
- 4: Open the keyboard to allow you to write with it on the video, you will also have a bar to choose the color with which you want to write.
And if on the main editing screen click on the option to edit how the photo looks, you can change some parameters such as enhancement, exposure or contrast. You will also have a second option button below with which to change the balance of the colors and the image.
