inXile boss Brian Fargo quits after Wasteland 3

InXile boss Brian Fargo plans to retire after the release of Wasteland 3. The game is scheduled to launch in 2019.

Fargo has been in the games industry since 1983 when he founded Interplay Productions. One of Interplay’s most popular series was Fallout, which is now owned by publisher Bethesda. Fargo left Interplay in 2002 to found InXile Entertainment.

Fargo: “Wasteland 2 and Torment turned out well. The Mage’s Tale’s are getting great buzz. The Bard’s Tale 4 looks spectacular. Wasteland 3 is building on Wasteland 2. It seems like a good time to let the curtain fall.”
