Samsung has just introduced new devices and we already have here the main rivals of Apple’s iPhone 11 and 11 Pro. The company has presented 3 Samsung Galaxy S20 that come to compete with the three Apple models and we will try to compare them to get to know better the new top of the range of the Korean company.

In this case, we have decided to compare the biggest of each houseOn the one hand we have the iPhone 11 Pro Max and its 6.5-inch screen, and on the other the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, a smartphone that grows to 6.9 inches in size.

Without a doubt, design is something very subjective, each person may like one or the other more, so it is difficult to assess. Regarding materials both they bet on glass in the back and metal in the frames of the device, so they are quite similar.

On the front, Samsung has achieved a screen that practically occupies 100% of the device, without any notch as we see on the iPhone. This is something that in our opinion looks much better on the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and that Apple should improve.

As for the rear, we have in both a camera module that stands out from the rest. In this case it seems that Apple has managed to solve better with a design in a single piece of glass that protrudes slightly. By cons Samsung has used a large black overhang that takes up a lot of space.

Today cameras have become essential in smartphones and every company strives to achieve better results. This is something that we can’t know until official comparisons are made, but the numbers of both devices are these:

IPhone 11 Pro cameras:

  • Main sensor 12 MP.
  • Telephoto sensor 12 MP.
  • Wide angle sensor 12 MP.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra cameras:

  • Main sensor 108 MP.
  • Telephoto sensor 48 MP.
  • Wide angle sensor 16 MP.
  • Depth sensor.

To the numbers there is no one who beats this Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, it also gets a 10x hybrid optical zoom that can go up to 100x. However, we will have to compare photos taken with both devices to assess the result.

We are probably looking at the two best screens on the market, both use OLED technology and are manufactured by Samsung. Until today the screen of the iPhone 11 Pro has been the best that has ever been counted on a smartphone, but the most normal thing is that Samsung takes away that honor with its new Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.

It is something that has been happening in recent years every time one of the two companies presented a new device and probably with the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and its 6.9-inch AMOLED panel and 3,200 x 1,440 pixel resolution the Korean company shine again. We also have the 120 Hz refresh of the screen, something that we also hope that Apple includes in the next iPhone 12.

In terms of power, it is difficult to approach Apple processors, which always tend to have an advantage over the rest. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, which will be sold in Spain and in many other markets, will opt for a self-made processor, the Exynos 990. It is certainly a very powerful processor, but not expected to outperform the iPhone 11 Pro’s A13 Bionic.

As for RAM, we already know that iOS has better management, but the basic version of this S20 Ultra triples the memory found in the iPhone 11 Pro, 4 GB vs 12 GB.

We are facing the two largest devices of each company, so the prices are also good. Neither of them has an affordable sturdy:

  • Price iPhone 11 Pro: 1,099 dollars / 1,259 euros.
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra: 1,359 euros.
