Unfortunately, due to working from home, they are unable to complete the World of Warcraft add-on on time.

A day after it was featured prominently on our release list and video, Blizzard postponed the release of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. This is just our problem, of course, probably not because most players are sad about it, but we’re always happy for a little sympathy.

The developers announced today that while they really wanted to keep to their previous promise and arm the add-on on October 27th, in the current situation, it certainly won’t come together anymore. One reason for this is that it will be one of the most exciting add-ons to the game, and the other is obviously the complication caused by COVID-19.

No new date has been set yet, all they have said is that they will definitely be done with the work later this year. It was also stated that the pre-patch introducing the add-on will definitely be released on October 13th, so we won’t be left without completely new content. We can then visit the new starting point, Exile’s Reach, to try out the customization options and the new leveling.

The time gained in this way will be used for balancing, repairing the endgame, extra polishing.
