The set will be released on March 1, 2021
Lego will soon have two Porsche models built for you. This is possible in a new 2-in-1 set that combines the Porsche 911 Turbo and the Porsche 911 Targa in one set.
This new set, with which you can either build one or the other variant, will appear in Lego retail stores and in the company’s online shop on March 1, 2021.
The set consists of 1,458 parts and you have to decide which of the two versions you want to build. The end result is approximately 35.5cm long, 10.8cm high and 16cm wide.
Both possible models side by side.
You can expect a 2 + 2 interior with dark orange, nougat-colored front and rear sports seats, the front seats are also tiltable and there are shift levers, hand brakes and functional steering.
Members of the Lego VIP program can take part in an online car meeting with Lego designer Mike Psiaki, Porsche exterior designer Fabian Schmölz and Jörg Thilow from the Porsche Museum on February 16, 2021. It is about the legacy of the Porsche 911: “Its elegant yet sporty design has been adapted over the years, but has never been fundamentally changed,” it says. “This means that every generation can be recognized immediately as a Porsche 911.”
In addition, from the same day VIP members will have access to an exclusive collector’s set, which will only be available in limited numbers. In addition to the actual Porsche set, it also contains four posters with Porsche advertisements from the history of the 911, a card case and a certificate of ownership.
If you are interested, you should put a little money aside, the price of the 2-in-1 set with Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Targa is 129.99 euros.
