Mafia II Definitive Edition unexpectedly appears on the Korean rating board
Today, the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has included in its list two titles not yet formally announced: one is SNK Gals’ Fighters for Nintendo Switch and the other is Mafia II: Definitive Edition for unspecified platforms.
For the uninitiated, SNK Gals’ Fighters is a 2D fighting game with a roster composed exclusively of female characters from the various SNK IPs, originally released for Neo Geo Pocket Color in January 2020. Mafia II, on the other hand, is a sandbox belonging to the Mafia story series, released on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in August 2010. As the name suggests, Mafia II: Definitive Edition is expected to be a remastered and complete version of the original title.
In the rating board, Mafia II: Definitive Edition does not have release platforms, however we can hypothesize an arrival on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with a “maybe” for Nintendo Switch.
Considering that neither of these two titles has been formally announced, we must consider their presence on the rating board as a rumor. We will have to wait for an official reveal from the publishers, before confirming their actual existence.
What do you think about it? Did you expect a Mafia II remaster?
