Miles is the only playable character in Spider-Man Miles Morales
Second creative director, game explores Miles’ life as “a child” and as a “superhero”
Miles Morales will be the only playable character in Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales, confirmed Brian Horton, creative director of Insomniac Games, in an interview with Game Informer.
Horton’s confirmation puts an end to rumors that other playable characters could make special appearances within the title.
According to Horton, the title will focus on “100%” in Miles, but it will also show different aspects of the character – exploring both his life as a “civilian” and superhero elements.
“We wanted to focus on the two parts of Miles. Miles as a child, as a nonhero … And then, of course, we have all his superhero stuff. But really focusing on Miles allowed us to put the maximum effort to offer the best Miles experience we could, “he said. The passage in which Horton talks about the character happens at 15:45 minutes of interview. See below:
The first game in the series, it is worth remembering, brought some gameplay excerpts with Mary Jane Watson and Miles himself – although the focus of the narrative was on Peter Parker.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released on November 19 for the PlayStation 5 e PlayStation 4.
