Minecraft was released in November 2011 and currently, the Mojang game figures as one of the biggest games on the entire planet.

Microsoft’s latest figures, shared by The Verge, reveal that more than 200 million units of Minecraft have been sold since it hit stores almost 10 years ago.

Another metric that reveals its fascinating popularity impact is related to the number of players monthly: 126 million players continue to play Minecraft every month.

In addition, with a large part of the world in social isolation, there was a 25% increase in the number of new players.

Minecraft is available on virtually every device imaginable and figures as an interactive tool for various types of activities, from entertainment to teaching.
