Capcom today revealed some very exciting news for Monster Hunter fans: until May 20, Monster Hunter World will be in a free trial period on PlayStation 4. That is: if you don’t have the game, you will have ten days to try it and enjoy.

The trial version is only on PS4 to take advantage of the announcements at Sony’s State of Play event, which happened yesterday. It is worth mentioning that this free trial version has some limitations and it is not possible to play the entire game until the 20th of May.

Basically, players will be able to take advantage of all quests up to Hunter Rank 4, which allows them to hunt in various areas of the Ancestral Forest and hunt monsters like Tobi-Kadachi, Barroth, Jyuratodus and others. Although not a full version of the game, users will be able to play online with other players who have the full edition of Monster Hunter World.

If players like it, it is possible to buy the game and transfer the progress to the final version of the game. Finally, it is worth mentioning that the free trial version of Monster Hunter World is smaller and weighs only 14.3 GB on the PS4 HD.

Monster Hunter World is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
