During this weekend, the Magic World Championship XXVI, the largest Magic: The Gathering tournament in the world, will take place in Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii. Bringing together the best 16 players in the category, the championship will bring athletes from all over the world face to face for a total prize pool of US $ 1 million, distributed among the rankings. In this way, the MTG World Championship will have the biggest individual prize in its history, giving US $ 300 thousand to the edition champion.

Promoted by Wizards of the Coast, the official publisher of the card game on its different platforms, the championship will feature the Brazilian Paulo Vitor Damo Rosa, one of the biggest names in the competitive MTG events of the scene in Brazil, guaranteed with two other professionals that stood out in the overall ranking of the Magic Pro League, defending the best MPL ratings. In addition to them, the Mythic Points scoring system will bring four more athletes, with the champions of the seven annual circuits (Mythics Championships) and, of course, the winner of the 2019 edition, Javier Dominguez, in defense of his belt.

The tournament will take place in the standard format, with the rotating use of cards from the recently launched Theros Beyond Death collection. The Magic World Championship XXVI will have exclusive coverage from the official Wizards of the Coast channel, via Twitch, in which all matches will be broadcast from February 14th to 16th.
