A new PUBG was officially announced. Nameless and without much detail, the project is under development by the hands of a new studio, Striking Distance, led by veteran Glen Schofield, who previously worked on Call of Duty and Dead Space.
In a statement sent to the press, PUBG Corp. said the game will have an “original narrative experience within the PUBG universe”. Schofield, for his part, praises that “the freedom to explore this universe thrills with the possibilities, in addition to the Battle Royale genre”.
The only thing I can say now is that I’m not working on a sequel to PUBG, but an original narrative in the PUBG universe.

This focus on narrative would be the great novelty of the sequence in relation to the first. PUBG became one of the most influential games of all time – he was responsible for popularizing the Battle Royale genre, which has become one of the great crests of the wave of the current generation.
