Nintendo doesn’t think the PS5 and Xbox Series X will have much of an impact on the Switch

This year, Sony and Microsoft are sending the PS5 and Xbox Series X into the race.

Apparently, that’s not something that Nintendo is very concerned about.

The Switch has just had a successful holiday season, prompting Nintendo to increase its sales forecasts for the current fiscal year.

Nintendo isn’t very worried.

“We will provide specific figures for the next fiscal year in our upcoming annual report,” Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa told investors. “I think there will definitely be a change in the market when new products from our competitors appear.”

However, it is believed that the target groups do not necessarily overlap.

“We believe that the way other companies do business will not have a material impact on our business,” he added.

Most recently, Nintendo announced that it was not planning a new Switch model for 2020. In addition, an Animal Crossing edition of the Switch was announced.
