Nintendo would like to see Red Dead Redemption 2 on the Switch

Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the biggest and most successful games of the year – and Nintendo would love to see it on the Switch.

Nintendo would be “absolutely” interested, stressed Reggie Fils-Aime in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.

The problem: all of the current big titles were not designed with the Switch in mind.

“Absolutely,” says Fils-Aime. “We’d love to have it. But again – and here you need an understanding of the development process: Red Dead was in work for years. For a time when there was no information about the Nintendo Switch. So the developers have to continue from their perspective and Finish the game they were working on. And then they have the opportunity to look at other options. “

“Development of every major third-party game that is out now began well before the Nintendo Switch was announced,” he added. “What happens in the future? We’ll see. But that’s why Red Dead is not available on our platform.”

Bethesda had already brought some of its older and current games, such as Skyrim, Doom, and Wolfenstein 2, to the Switch. The upcoming Doom Eternal will also be released for Nintendo’s console.

Whether Red Dead 2 on Nintendo’s console is realistic or not more than a dream? We will see.
